The Blessed Virgin Mary Calls us at : Rue du Bac, Lourdes, Fatima, Medjugorje

MA-008-A

The Blessed Virgin Mary Calls us at :
 Rue du Bac,
 Lourdes,
 Fatima,
 Medjugorje

After the revolution and wars, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in 1830 to Catherine Labouré, a novice in the convent of Rue de Bac in Paris. She asked to strike and spread throughout the world the "Miraculous Medal" as a special protection against Satan. She asks to pray for sinners and announces the end of Satan's reign who will be conquered by the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
At Lourdes in 1858, Mary confirmed that she is the Immaculate Conception. She asks to pray the rosary and calls for penance and conversion.
In Fatima in 1917, Mary again calls for prayer and conversion. She asks the pope, with all the bishops, to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart. (Jean-Paul II was able to do it with all the bishops in 1984).
Without that Russia will continue to spread deadly ideologies and the world will have much to suffer. She adds, "But in the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph and I will crush the serpent's head for good."
Unfortunately, the world has not listened to Mary's calls. God is rejected and apostasy is becoming generalized.
Since 1981, Mary, like a mother, returns to Medjugorje everyday. All while teaching her children for twenty years. She foretells chastisements that only our prayers and fasting can diminish. "You are living in a time of grace and conversion" she tells us, adding: "Convert and come back to God while there is still time. You will not be judged but welcomed."
So confidence...do not be afraid. "Open your hearts to Christ who is coming."

This gathering which took place in joy, prayer, unity and friendship revealed to us and made everyone grasp the true beauty of our Church. That will remain etched in our hearts. At the end of this meeting, the Holy Father entrusted the future of the world to the youth, praying at length to the Holy Spirit that He renew the hearts of men in the new Pentecost that will change the face of the earth.

Our Lady of La Salette, Why Your tears, Marie?

MA-005-A

Our Lady of La Salette, Why Your tears, Marie?

The mountain of La Salette is situated in the French Alps. It is there that the Holy Virgin Mary appeared on September 19th 1846 to the two young shepherds: Malanie and Maximin. She was in tears and cried without stopping, because of the evil that is spreading in the world. She confided "secrets" to Melanie and to Maximin. The one to Melanie is known. It is addressed to all of humanity. Still meaningful for today, it is serious and harsh because of the chastisements that it announces. It is an urgent call that the Holy Virgin addresses to each one of us, so that our prayer and our conversion may mitigate the effects of this purification, made necessary because of men's hearts which have hardened and turned away from God. If the Holy Virgin Mary tells us this, it is not to frighten us, but to warn us of dangers, as a mother who watches over her children. Let us take her tears to heart.

Our Lady of Soufanieh, DamascusTN_MA-006A.FACE.JPG (4747 bytes)

Since November 26, 1982, in the Christian district of Soufanieh, Damascus, Syria, a small picture of Mary has been exuding oil. Thousands of reproductions of that very image, which are found in Moslem as well as Christians homes, have exuded oil also. The home of Myrna, a young mother of two, where the original image belongs, has become a shrine where thousands of Christians, Moslems and people from other creeds meet together to pray. Often during prayers, the hands of Myrna exude oil. She has also experienced ecstasies and visions during which Mary and Jesus have given messages to her. Often during those ecstasies, she has been stigmatised. Several physical and spiritual healings have been recorded in the presence of medical doctors, priests and theologians who are following this very important and moving event.

SOUFANIEH, APPEAL FOR UNITY. TN_MA-014A.FACE.JPG (3972 bytes)

In November 1982, in the Christian neighbourhood of Soufanieh, Damascus, Syria, an icon of the Virgin Mary starts weeping oil. Often, during prayers, oil exudes from Myrnaís hands. She has also experienced ecstasies and apparitions of Jesus and Mary. During some of those ecstasies, she has received the stigmata. For many years now, Myrna has travelled throughout the world to convey the Call for Unity. In this interview, Myrna shares with us the fruits of her spiritual journey. She tells us in very simple words about her travels and encounters which have often been videotaped. The Soufanieh events are well documented in several books and in many languages. Let us mention only two of them: Remember God. Messages of Jesus and Mary at Soufanieh, by Father Elias Zahlaoui, and The Apparitions in Damascus, by Christian Ravaz, both viewable on the Internet at : www.soufanieh.com

To become an artisan of peace, with Jean Vanier. standard.gif (3776 bytes)

What attitude should a Christian have in the face of suffering? Jesus teaches us to become artisans of peace. This means to take time to lend an attentive ear to those who need to be listened to, and to show them that they are respected, trusted and loved. It means that we should accomplish in our lives this phrase of St-Paul: "In all, be like Jesus".

Give me to drink, with Jean Vanier standard.gif (3776 bytes)

Just like Jesus did with the Samaritan woman, we must show the poor that they are respected and needed. The richness of love is to reveal to one another our hidden beauty and to help each other become our true selves. It is to show someone else that the Holy Spirit dwells within us, and that we can be today, just as Jesus said, "springs of living waters".

The cry for love, with Jean Vanier  standard.gif (3776 bytes)

To help those who suffer (the poor, the rejected, the handicapped...), we must understand what is happening in their heart, we must see all the suffering and anguish that they carry within themselves. Those who suffer are calling us: they are waiting for us to offer them support and friendship.

My hurting point, with Jean Vanier standard.gif (3776 bytes)

We must be true to ourselves. We must not hide our hurting points, those where we feel most vulnerable. When we are aware of our misery, our fragility, only then we can experience Godís mercy. And at that moment, it is Jesus who looks down on us and reveals us our real beauty.

Flight from pain, with Jean Vanier.  standard.gif (3776 bytes)

In our culture, everything pushes us to run away from our pain. But it is so very important to see it as it is, face to face, and to let Jesus transfigure it. Jesus came so that we could pass from death to life. Our pain, our suffering, can become then, with His grace, the starting point of our healing and our joy.

Discovering the body, with Jean Vanier. standard.gif (3776 bytes)

Our world of constant competition and rivalry leads us to individualism, solitude, and finally to anguish (ideal place for the devil). We must discover that we belong to the same Body: the Church, the community, the family. The meaning of this body is solidarity: it reminds us that each individual has a special gift to offer us on behalf of God.

Follow Jesus, with Jean Vanier.   standard.gif (3776 bytes)

Hope appears in our lives when we follow Jesus, because He shows us how to love the way He loves, to see the way He sees and to act the way He acts: with our heart. Jesus wants us to enter in the communion of light and love of the Holy Trinity in order to show us how close God is to each one of us. To follow Jesus leads us to become artisans of peace, to discover how present Jesus is in the humble and the simple of this word.
